Head of Technology Platforms (Infrastructure)

A leading global business, currently undergoing significant transformation to move from a localised, country-led, technology landscape to a holistic, global, technology function are currently looking to recruit a Head of Technology Platforms (infrastructure). It's an exciting time to join the business as they focus on technology modernisation, building a skilled and talented internal team, and using best-of-breed suppliers engaged through a SIAM model.

As Head of Technology Platforms you'll report into the Global CIO, you'll be a member of the IT Leadership team and have responsibility for a team of 20 plus external third party supplier relationships. In close collaboration with the business and IT stakeholders, you'll drive the development of the future one IT landscape in order to meet future business strategies, objectives and requirements. It will be your role to provide management and support to your key stakeholders in relation to technology infrastructure delivered by internal and partners globally, ensuring that the strategy and target landscapes are implemented effectively.

The appointed candidate will be an experienced IT Leader with experience in large scale, complex IT infrastructure landscapes in matrix organisations. You'll bring good experience of service management as well as a strong technical acumen, to be able to delve into technical discussions where necessary, and horizon scan, keeping abreast of technology developments. As you'll be joining a complex global business who are transitioning to a global technology operating model, excellent stakeholder engagement skills will be essential - both internally, and when managing suppliers. As well as being a great people leader, you'll bring excellent business acumen, experience in budgeting and cost control as well as knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models and cost-benefit analysis.

Flexible working with a combination of home working, some working from the Cheshire Office, and some international travel.
