Infrastructure Architect - Outside IR35

Investigo's major client is currently seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect who will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, responsible for high level and low level designs as part of a major separation programme.

This role will define and deliver the Infrastructure architecture adhering to the defined enterprise vision, principles and standards. The role is responsible for owning and managing the production of High-level designs for internally and externally delivered projects ensuring that the solutions meet business requirements. The role will play a key role within Architecture governance ensuring that solutions comply with security measures in order to protect the core assets of the business.

Hybrid working - required to be in London at least 1or 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Enterprise Architecture Lead in undertaking reviews of the existing IT systems and tools you will be expected to recommend optimisation and rationalisation activities to improve the effectiveness of the corporate architecture.
• Work with Project Managers and Business Analysts throughout the project lifecycle to develop requirements, identify solution and delivery options as well as managing the creation and delivery of architecture artefacts e.g. High-Level Solution designs, solution cost models
• Develop and maintain key architecture models such as application, infrastructure, data, service and business models within the Enterprise Architecture tool
• As a proactive member of the architecture team promote the use and understanding of architecture best practice within IT
• Working with business and IT colleagues to understand the impacts of change and the consequential relationships with business, systems, service models

Key Skills

• Working with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF/BIZBOK), modelling languages (UML/ArchiMate/BPMN)
• A true multi-disciplinary background within Architecture with expert knowledge of the following Network, Microsoft Infrastructure, End user computing and Security architecture
• Technical experience of (amongst others) Microsoft Azure and including (Active Directory/Azure AD), Cisco Network (LAN/WAN/SDN/WLAN/Firewalls etc), VOIP, CCM, PAAS, SAAS,
• Managing solution definition across multiple, concurrent projects
• Experience in working with multiple delivery partners across a complex delivery programme
• Requirements definition and management throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Experience of creating a narrative and being able to communicate complicated technology change stories in an effective manner.
• Excellent communication skills. Expert in influencing and motivating individuals and teams and used to operating up and down a multi-tiered management structure.
