Infrastructure Project Manager - Networks - Server - Harmonisation - Patch Management

My client, an international publishing house, are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join them on an initial 6 months contract (OUTSIDE IR35)

The Infrastructure Project Manager role will be responsible for leading the global Infrastructure harmonisation projects, making sure it is delivered on time, efficiently, following global standards whilst meeting local requirements


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Provides overall direction and leadership for the delivery and implementation of the set of Infrastructure projects, such as Monitoring Harmonisation, Patch Management, Backups and Networking.
• Experience in Infrastructure, network, servers, storage, 3rd party vendor management, email solutions such as Mimecastwith having had personal accountability for their outcome and also ideally have some Cloud services experience
• Set up and deliver objectives, timelines and dependencies providing clear reports and updates to Infrastructure and programme sponsorship, supporting teams, markets IT Directors and key stakeholders.
• Take the high level project brief and break down to a detailed plan, dependencies, risks, issues understanding each component of the project and resources required to complete the project
• Mapping out key stakeholders and their accountability as part of a RACI matrix
• Create and maintain the following documents on a weekly basis understanding all the key steps and requirements
• Detailed Project Plan
• Risk and Issue Log
• Dependency Log
• Communication plan
• Demand management Plan
• Working with implementation partners and markets teams to prepare, schedule and supervise hardware implementation

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years experience of full lifecycle Infrastructure Project management
• Experience of running technology projects, ideally including Server, Storage and Networking Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), Monitoring Deployments, Patching solutions (Manage Engine) and email solution deployments (Mimecast).
• Ideally have experience with Cloud technologies and tools such as Solarwinds and NetBotz and Manage Engine.
• Must possess good time management, problem solving skills and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a fast-moving, rapidly changing environment
• Experience working with geographically dispersed, culturally varied team & customer base.
• Experience with Project Management and toolsets: JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheets, Microsoft Project, Google Docs
