Leading Insurance Firm - Compliance Framework Build-out Consultant (6-Month Contract)

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Compliance Framework Build-out Consultant to join our client on a 6-month contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing the compliance framework for a new product to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess current compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive compliance framework tailored to the specific needs of our insurance business.
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address deficiencies.
  • Draft and update compliance policies, manuals, and guidelines in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance requirements and promote a culture of compliance awareness.
  • Establish monitoring and testing protocols to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and identify potential risks.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to business units on compliance-related matters and regulatory developments.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory authorities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing compliance frameworks in a regulated Insurance environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Solvency II, GDPR, IDD, and FCA regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex regulatory issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
