About the Role

My client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Interim Compliance Manager to support the continued evolution of the compliance function.

They are seeking someone who can hit the ground running, provide continuity, and ensure effective handover while continuing the roll-out of key strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance Framework Development: Build and evolve a central compliance toolkit, including frameworks, templates, and guidance materials for use across the business.

  • Governance & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a central point for compliance topic owners, understanding what frameworks are in place, who owns them, and how obligations are met.

  • Culture & Behavioural Change: Drive a cultural shift through a behaviour change programme that makes "compliance by design" a shared responsibility at all levels of the business.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders (including Internal Audit and Risk) to identify compliance gaps and risks, run working groups, and embed sustainable solutions into BAU.

  • Communication & Education: Translate complex compliance requirements into accessible, engaging communications; educate the business on obligations and processes.

  • Escalation Management: Manage and respond to escalations and ad-hoc compliance risks; assess issues and embed solutions.

  • Strategic Compliance Advisory: Provide strategic oversight on compliance governance - no assurance or audit activity, but strong collaboration with teams that do.

The Successful Candidate

  • Professional Qualification: ICA or Internal Audit background is essential

  • Multiple Geographies: Must have experience working in a large, international, complex business
  • Sector: Telco sector experience desireable, due to focus on Know Your Customer - Voice Reseller specifics
  • Setting Up a Compliance Function: As the function is still in its early days, someone with experience setting up a compliance function and 'getting hands dirty' is desireable
  • Immediately available: Must be available to start in June
