Interim Financial Controller

Investigo are currently partnering with a world renowned, private-equity backed company in their search for an interim financial controller on a 6 month contract. The company is in need of an extra pair of hands during an extremely busy period and will require someone to roll their sleeves up. To be considered for this role, you must have experience of working with inventory/stock.

The role:

• Drive the FY20 Year-end Process (Accounts to 31.12.2020) , prepare the statutory accounts and manage the audit process
• Full review of an existing fragile Balance Sheet: specially Inventory and debtors
• Manage and prepare on going monthly management accounts process, including posting of journals and preparation/review of reconciliations
• Drive efficiencies in the reporting process to increase the frequency of management account preparation
• Continuous improvement to ensure efficient business reporting and insights to various stakeholders across the business
• Proactive improvement in general ledger maintenance and postings to facilitate the reporting improvements
• Responsible for VAT, Intrastat and USA Sales Tax
• Supervise and review weekly payment run
• Manage bank working capital requirements
• Inventory management, ensuring inventory within the business is reconciled and accurately valued
• Manage Accounts Receivable/Payable teams and work with the team and the wider business to ensure adherence and improvement in PO and invoicing processes
• Work with external tax accountants to assist with the preparation of annual tax computations and related matters
• Manage payroll process, liaising with external payroll provider and internal HR team
• Report to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information

Requirements:

• Fully Qualified
• Must have experience of working with inventory/stock
• Significant attention to detail with ability to pick up complex reconciliations
• Expert in Excel and good at picking up new IT systems
• Independent, proactive and self-motivated
• Honest and reliable
