Experienced Project Manager required for an immediate start!
Overview:
- 1 year contract
- Local Government experience required
- Immediate availability required
- 1 day per week in South West England
Overview:
This person will be required for approx. one year, and will initially be managing a project to replace the hybrid technology and audio-visual equipment in the council, including the council chamber. Specific experience in this area is not essential, but would be helpful, as would local government experience.
- Manage the successful delivery of one more complex technical IT implementations on time, to budget and quality, through appropriate adherence to The City Council's technical and architectural standards, reporting to the Head of Digital Strategy & Transformation and ultimately bringing the implementation(s) to successful completion.
- Manage the budgets allocated to their technical implementations, in accordance with The City Council's financial procedures and regulations; managing actual and forecast expenditure to within agreed tolerances and reporting variances to the Head of Digital Strategy & Transformation as necessary.
- Prior to the commencement of a technical implementation, lead the business in exploring options, fully costing these, identifying the optimum technically feasible solution, and defining realistic and measurable benefits (including establishing suitable benefit owners and putting in place appropriate benefit realisation plans), to support informed decision making.
- Build, maintain and execute a fully integrated, realistic and deliverable end to end technical implementation plan (including any standalone contingency, transition, testing and/or training plans), identifying key milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, critical path and associated assumptions, in line with any overarching departmental plans (as applicable).
