Job description

Management Accountant - Industry or Practice Background

Immersive Gaming and Hospitality Brand
up to £60,000 + great benefits + 10% discretionary bonus
Hybrid Working (2/ 3 days pw office)
Central London

You will be responsible for the flow of financial information throughout the company and
group, with an emphasis on the accuracy and consistency of financial reporting in the
business. You will need to interact and communicate directly with non-finance stakeholders
including department leads across both our UK locations, and liaising with our US operation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the recognition of revenue and accurate accounting of
deferred income and VAT
* Manage the Fixed Asset Accounting process and records
* Responsible for the month end process, booking accruals, intercompany
recharges and cost re-allocations, releasing prepayment, raising journals
* Preparation of monthly management accounts for UK entities as well as
venue P&Ls and relevant cost centre reporting, including budget variance
analysis
* Preparation of monthly balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations and
support in investigating month end balances
* Support in the delivery of consolidation financial reporting
* Develop and manage relationships with department heads, providing relevant
financial analysis and monitoring monthly spend
* Responsibility for the timely and accurate production of weekly, monthly and ad-hoc
reports
* Supporting the development of robust and scalable financial processes and controls
* Working with senior management and external advisors to ensure compliance with
regulatory requirements including timely filing of returns
* Supporting the external audit process and provision of annual accounts for UK entities
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Obtained a professional accountancy qualification, or finalist with a proven track
record - ACCA / CIMA / ACA
* A working knowledge of key accounting processes and implementation of best in
class controls
* An ability to be hands on operator as well as business partner
* Credibility, initiative and drive. Comfortable representing the business to customers
internally and externally.
* Relevant sector experience in hospitality or restaurants or a strong interest in the
area
* Confident user of Microsoft excel with ability to deliver insights from financial
information
* Experience working on multi-site operations or practice is preferred
* Experience working with NetSuite would be beneficial
