The business is entering its critical year end period and this role will be essential in assisting where necessary to meet the requirements of the month end and end of the fiscal year.

The role is initially for 3 months recruited on a temporary basis, Reporting to Interim head of Accounting Services, you will be playing an important role in ensuring the monthly financial statements are produced timely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce month end and year end journals.

• Prepare statutory and management accounts.

• Business partnering with overhead departments, review of actuals versus plan and budgeting/forecasting for assigned area.

• Prepare financial statements for internal and external use.

• Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making.

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.

• Support any audit requirements.

• Manage the CAPEX for the company. - Assisting with internal and external ad hoc finance queries

Person Specification

Essential:

• Must be immediately available or available at short notice
• ACCA / CIMA / ACA part qualified or qualified
• Previous bookkeeping experience
• A proactive attitude and a sense of personal accountability is vital
• Meet deadlines and ability to work under pressure
• Logical approach
• Ability to communicate at all levels, both verbally and written
• Attention to detail
• Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, SUMIFS)

Desirable:

• Familiar with Lakeview Software
• Previous retail business / e-commerce exposure would be an advantag
