Management Accountant - Nordics
up to £52k depending on experience

I am exclusively partnered with an Employee Centric, International organisation in London who are actively recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to manage the Nordics. You will have a min of 5 years experience as a Management Accountant, have excellent attention to detail and be a strong team player. Fluency in Swedish, Danish or Finnish is essential.
Responsibilities will include
- Lead the annual statutory filing process for entities in Sweden and Finland
- Coordinate and manage local audit activities for each branch
- Oversee tax computations and ensure timely submissions for each company
- Handle country-specific reporting requirements as they arise
- Prepare and document board meeting minutes across all entities
- Perform and review intercompany reconciliations
- Manage the full monthly management accounts cycle for each entity, including calculation and posting of Accruals and prepayments (e.g. salaries, bonuses, commissions, customer discounts)
- Consolidate monthly financials across the two legal entities
- Administer monthly payroll processes for both entities
- Track and reconcile private mileage and related deductions
- Accounts Payable:
- Oversee vendor relationships for each branch
- Ensure accurate invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment preparation
- Conduct weekly supplier payment runs and manage intercompany fund transfers
- Produce weekly cash flow forecasts per entity
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- File monthly VAT returns and Intrastat declarations
- Manage employee expense claims and reimbursement processes
- Supervise the purchase order system
- Verify and reconcile supplier invoices for accuracy and completeness
Candidate Specification:
- Strong capability in reconciling balance sheets
- ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Fast learner with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical review of financial data
- Confident communicator, experienced in working across international teams
- Solid IT proficiency and working knowledge of financial systems
- Competent Excel user (SUMIFS, XLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Fluency in a Nordic language (ideally Finnish, Swedish, Danish, or Norwegian)
- Prior accounting experience within a Nordic jurisdiction
