Management Accountant - 6 month FTC

Investigo are exclusively partnering with an SME client recruiting a Management Accountant on a 6 month contract based in Milton Keynes.

In the position of Management Accountant Milton Keynes you will support the Finance Manager in the production of regular financial and management reporting. Other key duties to include:

• Undertake month end closing activities including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, provisions and prepayment calculations
• Production of the monthly sales and margin flash reporting
• Responsibility for the completion of the monthly management accounts; reviewing variances to budget and prior year as well as providing commentary to the Executive Team
• Completion of the monthly departmental cost reports; recognizing and correcting for reporting errors, analyzing variances and undertaking review meetings with Cost Centre Managers to understand variances to budget and challenge any areas of overspend
• Supporting the Commercial Team to secure revenue projects by undertaking project specific margin analysis
• Assist in the preparation of employee benefit reporting; P11D, P46 and PSA forms
• Assist the Finance Manager in the year end closing activities such as the completion of information for the external auditors and preparation of the statutory accounts
• Assist in the preparation of annual budget and forecasts
• Raising of manual invoices and purchase orders
• Reviewing and approving employee expense claims
• Preparation and submission of governmental returns; VAT, EC Sales List, Payment, Practices and Performance submissions and National Statistics surveys
• Management of the fixed asset approval process; ensuring the correct and timely capitalisation of assets and undertaking reviews to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Fixed Asset Register
• To provide support and assistance to the Finance department with ad-hoc requests as directed

The Profile

The successful candidate will need to be qualified accountant either CIMA/ACA or ACCA

Ideally experience of reporting under UK GAAP (FRS 102)

Strong excel skills as you will support commercial team with sales & margin analysis

SAP knowledge would be advantageous

Need to be immediately available

The Salary

£47,000 to £50,000 plus benefits (remote working until pandemic restrictions lifted)
