NetFX Senior Business Analyst

This role is for a senior SME Business Analyst/Project Manager to manage the delivery of critical projects/requirements for the FX e-Trading business, initially focused on enhancements in the eFX space.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the delivery of key strategic priorities in the NetFX space.
  • Work with Front Office, Product and Tech Leads to define eFX roadmap and project delivery milestones
  • Agree Detailed Business Case (DBC) with stakeholders, including benefits
  • Work with Tech Component leads to form Technology delivery plan for prioritised deliverables
  • Prepare and track the delivery plans across all teams including external vendors.
  • Own project financials and resource requirements
  • Ensure that a Stakeholder Management plan and Business Readiness plan are in place
  • Ensure that planned outputs deliver the agreed outcomes and that the outcomes remain relevant
  • Chair project governance forum, own regular update of project status and risks/issues and report project achievements
  • Responsible for project compliance with Barclays change control standards
  • Ensure that any changes to business case are identified, assessed, and approved or rejected by appropriate governance
  • Reporting on revenue benefits realisation and KPIs
  • Analysis on requirements

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

  • Proven ability to partner with stakeholders across Front Office, Middle Office/Operations, Compliance and Technology teams and multiple locations
  • Develop/maintain long-term relationships; build trust with stakeholders, teams, and leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in driving change through influence

Decision-making and Problem Solving

  • The role will require proven decision making, strong analytical skills and evaluative judgement. The candidate should have demonstrated experience in defining and delivering solutions to meet the needs of the FX business and proven track record solving the complex problems associated to this space.

Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with other project team members, including Technology, business and Compliance teams at all levels, gauging the level of technical knowledge of the audience in these communications
  • Have an inquisitive nature; able to work independently to take a problem, break it down, recognise additional questions and find solutions.
  • High levels of collaboration with Dev/QA teams to actively support their work including jumping onto screen shares and looking at code/environments with their help when problem solving - a hands on approach
  • Highly organised, structured and result driven

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • In depth and extensive knowledge of front to back FX trading flows and processes
  • First-hand experience working on a front-office trading platform
  • Proven ability to influence & manage across multiple teams and regions to deliver solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to write high quality Business Requirement Documents and Functional Specs that are clear and concise enough for both traders and developers to follow
  • Ability to build strong relationships with the Front Office, Operations, Compliance and Technology
  • Ability to drive & influence the change and direction of the platform without always needing input from Trading
  • Ability to take complex ideas & tease out the detail - capturing and cascading to team and business in good time
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills and strong stakeholder management
