Operations Commercial Finance Partner

Investigo are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a World Renowned FMCG/Retail Brand who are looking to recruit an Operations Commercial Finance Partner, on a permanent basis.

Based in Milton Keynes, the Operations Commercial Finance Partner will be responsible for the provision of financial analysis, insights, and support for the UK operations and leadership teams. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving strategic decision-making and optimising financial performance. The ideal candidate should possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of financial principles.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting analysis of correlative KPI's (including, but not exclusively HR, compliance, customer and commercial data points) to create actionable insights that supports commercial and operational decision-making processes.
• Creation of and maintaining accurate and timely operational reports and analysis to help optimise operational efficiency, performance improvements and profitability.
• Partnering with the operations team to analyse costs, identify areas for cost optimisation, and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, and communicate insights to relevant stakeholders within the organisation.
• Performing variance analysis and provide explanations for deviations to operating plans, or performance variations within the store/franchise portfolio.
• Supporting the development and evaluation of performance reviews, business cases, investment proposals for operational teams.
• Assisting in the preparation of periodic business review presentations and reports for senior management and key stakeholders, providing overviews on both estate and store performance.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact business performance and operations.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance financial controls.
• Utilising data points to identify top and tail performance that supports in celebrating systems successes and identifying low hanging fruit that drives growth.
• Supporting in communicating to operating partners regarding operational performance, and opportunities for them to drive growth as part of franchise advisory councils and franchise business reviews.

The successful Candidate will have extensive experience of providing detailed analytical data to operational teams, as well as building and developing financial models, building insightful slide decks and developing reporting using BI Tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
They will be an exceptional communicator who can comfortably liaise and business partner non-financial teams, including pushing back on such teams when required. The Operations Commercial Finance Partner will always be looking to challenge the status-quo and drive efficiencies in performance.

Our Client is keen to see a broad shortlist of Candidates and therefore the salary range for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 + Benefits, dependant on experience.
