Job description

My client, within the Food & Beverage industry, are growing rapidly and due to this they are looking to recruit an Operations Finance Analyst to join their finance team based in Peterborough.

The Operations Finance Analyst will report directly to the Divisional Finance Director with a dotted line to the MD and will focus their attention on the operational, stock and cost structures, working closely with both the operations team, production team, supply chain team and other cost centre owners in the business. As a manufacturing business, with a large on-site food factory, understanding the production cost base, the variables and how to drive efficiency is key.

The Operations Finance Analyst is very much a business facing finance role and will involve being in regular contact with Senior Management, Functional Heads and Directors for long term decision making, budgeting and acting as the main finance point of contact. Looking after the Operations and Commercial side of the business. You will support your non finance budget holders by advising and training them on any areas related to the budget process and 5 year plan. Other areas of responsibility will include; consolidation of management accounts, including KPI reporting and budget holder reports; oversee the quarterly forecast process; produce the annual budget, including reviewing the business plans and future growth areas; and to work on many exciting projects and have the chance to make a name for yourself to the senior leadership team.

The successful candidate will be an analytical, intelligent, qualified accountant with a strong commercial thought process and able to confidently articulate and understand the wider business. You will have the ability to build rapport in a warm and engaging, approachable but challenging manner. Relevant experience within a food production business is essential. If you are ambitious with potential to progress through the organisation and have the ability to continually challenge the status quo, then do not hesitate to apply.
