HR Business Partner

Fixed-Term Contract - 9 months

Hybrid working - 2 days on site, Northwest of England

The opportunity

An exciting role for an experienced HR Business Partner to join the HR team, to provide a strategic People and OD service that is customer-focused and drives performance improvement.

Key responsibilities

The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide business partnering advice and consultancy to managers and individuals, including training and coaching managers on leadership, employee relations issues as well as advising on organisational design.
  • Influence key stakeholders and business decisions to ensure effective management of staff
  • Partner with business areas to establish strategies and plans to achieve objectives, improve service delivery and drive performance
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including employees at all levels, line and senior managers and trade union representatives
  • Analyse workforce information to work with managers on developing strategies and plans to support and further objectives.
  • Champion EDI practices as well as positively challenge and influence change.

The successful candidate:

Essential:

  • Higher Education experience
  • Professionally qualified - either MCIPD or broad-based business qualification-supported by experience in broad range of People and OD, including reward, recruitment, employee relations/engagement, resourcing and OD
  • Knowledge and/or experience of applying OD tools and techniques
  • Experience of working in a unionised environment-preferably in a large and complex organisation.
