Principal Java Software Engineer

Rate & Engagement: Outside IR35 - to £650 per day

Duration: 6-month initial duration with highly probable extension

Location: Remote, UK

Investigo are partnered with a market leading software house who are looking to engage a Principal level Software Engineer to join a feature team on a performance project. We are looking for a strong hands-on Java development experience producing highly performant code on complex systems and someone who is a genuine problem solver with minimal direction. This role will work on a project outside of BAU and we have confirmed this role is outside IR35 - you'll join a group of consultants on this project who will be doing the majority of heavy lifting on the core platform that works with thousands of customers per day.

Skills

• A hands-on development background working with highly complex applications using Java/Jakarta, Java EE, J2EE
• Experienced working on XaaS applications, ideally using Azure
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experienced working in small but effective Agile teams
• Any experience working on performance projects previously (monitoring, optimisation, etc) would be hugely beneficial

This is an outside IR35 engagement with a day rate on offer of up to £650 per day. Initial contract duration is 6 months and interviews will take place immediately and offer/onboarding swiftly after - therefore an immediate start is preferred. There is an occasional need to be in the Nottingham HQ, but this is infrequent and not regular office time.
