Principal Solution Architect

Principal Solution Architect working for a business that is seeking to improve lives. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior Solution Architect to join a business at the forefront of their industry. They are a Technology business at heart and the technology solutions that they provide customers save lives. This new Principal Solution Architect role and your small team of experienced Solution Architects will play a pivotal role in driving the success of a critical product line.

You and your team will be responsible for defining end to end complex solutions within the largest and historically most successful product line, this line is set to experience exponential growth over the coming years due to macroeconomic and societal factors so there could not be a more exciting place to work within this organisation. The business is very successful and operate in an industry that is extremely financially stable, you will join a business of around 2000 employees so big enough to offer scale and investment in architecture but not too big that you and your team feel like a number. You will be integral to the ongoing success and your voice will be heard.

You will take responsibility for all elements of the solution including the business, application and technology layers while complying to information and security requirements. You will provision an operational service by directing the domain and functional experts within each of these domains. You will lead a team of 4 Solution Architects as well as other staff within the portfolio; ensuring that the right skills, tools and methods are available to deliver the portfolio of capability.

Experience that would be advantageous to this role will be 1) direct line management experience not management through a matrix 2) experience working with large complex and interconnected data sets 3) Migration to cloud, experience of cloud concepts including cloud cost management and cloud security 4) Working at Enterprise level delivering for an end customer so experience of working for a large consulting business/IT enabled services business could be advantageous.

Whilst this organisation has offices in the Midlands, they are happy for this person to be based fully remote with occasional travel into the office when required (1-2 times a month).
