Procurement Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an expanding manufacturer with offices all across Europe, China and the US.

This is a newly created tolel and will be managing a team of 3.

They are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager who has experience within the manufacturing industry, buying both raw materials and ready made parts. You will also ideally have some experience in buying packaging.

The annual spend is circa £30 million with suppliers in the UK, Asia Pacific and Europe.

• Manage a team of buyers and other personnel managing and administering logistics and customs activities.
• Manage the business's suppliers
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, ensuring that business gets a competitive price for its products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring that they understand the businesses requirements and expectations.
• Monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement, working with suppliers to develop and implement corrective actions.
• Continuously seek out new suppliers and materials to ensure that the business has a diverse and reliable supply chain.
• Ensure that all sourcing activities comply with ESI ethical and legal standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
