Programme Manager (would suit: Portfolio Manager / Head of Projects / Head of PMO / Digital Transformation Manager)

12 month Fixed Term Contract

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager / Portfolio Manager / Head of Projects / Head of PMO / Digital Transformation Manager to join an ambitious SME business who are looking to double in turnover in the next 5 years. This role will span across the business and technology / digital functions to bring a holistic and analytical view to all business projects and transformational activity to develop a clear and consistent approach with the correct governance on project management. This role will be responsible for primarily commercially focused projects but will also include cultural review activity and other business projects to highlight how they all link together, providing evaluation and analysis of risks and opportunities, plus suggestions/influence on decisions and options for future activity. This role is very much about coming into an unbuilt environment and laying the foundations and building a pragmatic approach to projects, change and transformation.

The appointed candidate will be someone who has the ability to work in an unbuilt environment, setting up process, governance and tools and templates for delivery. You'll need to be a real change person with strong ability to build and forge relationships but also able to challenge conversations as required. This role is about creating a sustainable and pragmatic solution and developing/implementing a system of project/programme management where assets can be assigned and there is a clear view on activity.
