Project Manager - Insurance - Personal Lines Motor - Horsham

The Opportunity
The Project Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to support the business with ambitious Motor Growth plans. This will include completion of key components of the Data & MI solution for Pricing, notably load of the legacy data, business reconciliation and transition from old to new systems. The PM will also support the business, planning out and monitoring progress of the key business activities required for the Motor Growth plans including development of new rating models.

  • Critical path and all key dependencies are understood, including reliance on technical components from IS teams
  • Plans are underpinned with the necessary resource profile
  • Driving activities to completion
  • Monitoring, Control & Reporting
  • Ensure delivery progress is monitored and controlled and that issues / risks are effectively identified, managed and/or escalated
  • Maintenance of the Project Control Log - Deliverables, Risks, issues, Dependencies, Assumptions
  • Develop and maintain Project plans and resource tracker
  • Completion of progress reports as requested in accordance with agreed deadlines and standards
  • Monitor and drive progress, promoting a culture of working together and delivering to plan

Communication

  • Work with the BAU team of Pricing (& Underwriting) SMES and ensure that all team members are clear about deliveries and timescales
  • Run Working Group to ensure that there is a forum where the latest risks and issues can be discussed and if necessary escalated
  • Adapt style and materials as needed to reflect the differing needs of stakeholders
  • Ensure that other stakeholders are engaged as appropriate
  • Contribute to P&U and Programme comms as requested
  • Liaise effectively with other IS delivery teams

The Individual
Top 3/4 Evaluation Criteria (Hard Skills)

  • Experience Project Manager with 5 years+ with proven experience of providing technical solutions and can guide discussions (the role will be the interface between technical & SME teams). Ideally the role holder will hold relevant PM Qualifications
  • Worked within Personal Lines Motor Pricing teams is ESSENTIAL
  • Experience of working on Data & MI migration projects; implementing data solutions; coupled with experience in Data reporting tools
