Project / Programme Manager - Asset management / Investment management

Contract role : £650/day

Flexible Working: Working from Home with flexibility to travel to Surrey based office as required

Our client, a leading Investment Management business has an urgent requirement for a Contract Project Manager to assist across their Multi Asset business.

Working closely with the overall programme lead, this Business Focused Project / Programme Manager role will be managing workstreams within the programme and/or take the lead on the delivery of specific projects within the portfolio of work.

The chosen candidate will have extensive experience working within the Investment / Asset Management Industry as a Project Manager, with a strong history of Planning, Tracking and Prioritising 'Business Change' Programmes. You will also have significant experience in presenting back to senior stakeholders.

Essential skills:

  • 5 Years + Project management skills as demonstrated by ability to manage initiatives with stakeholders at multiple levels and influence decisions and outcomes
  • Emerging leadership skills as demonstrated by the ability to identify business challenges and recommend and shape initiatives to address these
  • A strong understanding of business drivers and processes across investment management and asset management operations
  • Experience of and desire to work on regulatory driven change initiatives

Highly desirable skills and qualifications:

  • Understanding of the investment process
  • Understanding of Product related change such as fund launches, pool splits, product structures servicing institutional clients etc
  • Experience of Equity, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset and Alternates products or investments
  • Experience of change associated with differing fund structures such as SICAV, OEICS etc
  • Broader industry awareness including the evolving regulatory landscape and product trends
  • Experience of technology change initiatives and agile project management practises
