Investigo Finance are recruiting a Purchase Ledger Clerk for an SME business based in Bedford on a temporary contract.

In the position of Purchase Ledger Clerk Bedford you will work as part of a close knit finance team reporting into the Financial Controller. Other key duties to include:

  • Processing of supplier invoices which will include accurate allocations to related purchase orders and coding to the profit and loss account
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Preparation of periodic supplier payment runs
  • Recording and resolving supplier related queries
  • General upkeep and maintenance of the ledger
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as and when required

The Profile

The successful candidate will need to have previously purchase ledger/ accounts payable experience

Ability to process circa 1000 invoices a month in line with company accounting standards

Good problem solver and ability to take full ownership of supplier queries

Team player as you will be required to assist others during month end close and holiday periods

The Salary

£12 to £13 per hour plus holiday pay
