Resource Manager - Insurance Client
£600-650/day Inside IR35
Flexible / Working From Home

Our client, a Global Insurer has an immediate requirement for a contract Resource Manager for their European operation.
As the Resource Manager, you will be responsible for the deployment of consultants across the business and geographical areas. You will liaise with consultants, managers and the leadership on a daily basis to ensure the most efficient and optimal deployment of the consulting talent on the pipeline of project and annuity work. You will also be responsible for the successful implementation and buy-in of the resource management process supported by a resource management software platform.
You will play a key role in enabling an effective and proactive resourcing strategy for the business and be building and maintaining relationships with leaders and individuals in the business to fully understand capabilities and aspirations.
Key KPIs include:

  • Driving change by embedding a new resourcing process and tool
  • Improving and then sustaining a target level of utilization across the Employee Experience business in order to meet and exceed financial goals for the business.
  • Ensuring that work is delivered by the right colleagues at the right levels which will ultimately drive better margin, client satisfaction, adherence to budgets and pricing.
  • Understand the skills and interests of the colleagues to keep them fully utilized, but also able to gain access to varied and stretching work across the region
  • Driving a better win-rate on opportunities by putting together the best pitch team of diverse skills aligned to client needs.
  • Understand the business, the service offerings and the respective resource requirements by proactively liaising with leaders and consultants.
  • Be fully aware of total pipeline - sold work plus opportunities and internal priorities, and take the responsibility to prioritse where needed.
  • Provide input to workforce planning and development needs and develop an understanding of supply (current skills in the team) and demand (what is required to support our growth/ambitions) of skills/capabilities in Europe
  • Work closely with the regional leadership team to advise on future needs. Provide data insights to the Europe leadership team on utilization and cross practice resourcing, input to workforce planning and development needs and advise on future needs
  • Act as trusted advisor and support colleagues' career aspirations


Required Experience :

  • Proven experience and successful track record as a Resourcing Manager with interest in resource/workforce planning.
  • The ability to see the "big picture", leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges.
  • Ability to effectively allocate and manage resources.
  • Proven influencing and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen, financial awareness and reporting capabilities
  • Very strong interpersonal skills; ability to engage and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Confident and resilient when dealing with conflicting priorities and challenges.
  • Organised with good time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Analytical, flexible and results-oriented, demonstrated in the ability to draw themes and conclusions from data analysis and communicate results to executive level individuals.
  • Fluent in English and preferably another language
