Job description: SAP Functional Support Lead

Role objectives

As SAP functional Support lead you will be required to perform 2nd and 3rd line support to the business. Working with the SAP team and business you will be required to investigate issues, identify solutions and where applicable, provide relevant documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain master data in ERP systems with a focus on FI & HR
• Develop best practice approach for Europe division
• Analyse support issues logged with the IT Support Tool
• Take ownership of issue investigation and resolution
• Functional expert with the ability to support the business
• Analysis and optimisation of business processes in SAP ECC 6.0
• Work with, and empower key users and users in various SAP modules
• Knowledge transfer where appropriate
• Interface function between IT and the specialist departments in Europe
• Create training material and conduct user training
• Support business projects

Profile:

• Completed vocational training or bachelor degree
• 3 to 5 years experience in Cost Accounting/Controlling
• Good knowledge in SAP CO (esp. CO-OM)
• Experience in Asset Accounting (FI-AA) would be advantageous
• Willingness to expand knowledge to further SAP modules
• Experience in process design / process standardisation
• Experience in project work
• Open to change (upcoming ERP-change in approx.3 years)
• Hands on practical approach to problem solving and issue resolution
• Clear understanding of driving value to the business
• Proven track record of delivering solutions at all levels with an organisation
• Understanding of the SAP Development cycle
• Customising and / or ABAP knowledge
• Independent and structured way of working
• Self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills in German and English
• Team Player
