SAP Test Manager

Purpose of role:
The test manager will play a key role in ensuring the solution meets business requirements by ensuring that a rigorous and effective testing programme is in place. They will ensure that an appropriate strategy for product testing is established, with supporting detailed procedures, and that resources within and in third party suppliers are properly trained and monitored to effectively execute the testing approach.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead the ongoing refinement of the Test strategy, covering all Unit testing, System integration testing, User acceptance testing, regression testing and performance testing across all environments, from development to production.
  • Own the creation and maintenance of standards and procedures for developing and maintaining test scenarios, test cases and test data
  • Lead the design and planning for testing conditions, test scripts and test data sets during the ensuring appropriate and adequate coverage and control
  • Collaborate with technical teams and PMO defining test environment requirements and subsequent set up
  • Lead the Test Strategy delivery by co-ordinating multiple technical, business and 3rd party teams in the creation, maintenance and refinement of test cases, test scenarios, test planning and execution
  • Monitor and verify the execution of test plans, managing and reporting on defects.
  • Lead the creation of test plans in collaboration with 3rd parties and teams
  • Work closely with Third party IT service providers (AMS & SI teams) and country business user teams to properly plan, resource and monitor test activities
  • Ensure accurate timely management reporting on test progress, test outcomes, success rates, issues and risks
  • Establish defect management procedures including the work to record, analyse, diagnose, report and manage test events, incidents, problems and retest dependent on agreed criteria
  • Where required lead the test team and conduct tests as required




SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Key skills, knowledge experiences:
  • Bachelor's degree & Prince 2 (or equiv)
  • Previous experience in a Test Management role
  • Experience of global, large scale, complex SAP implementations and transformation programmes
  • Experience of managing testing for digital delivery in an agile project environment
  • Demonstrated experience in System Integration and Software Development management, updated with current Cloud (SAP Cloud Platform) and Digital techniques
  • Solid understanding of AGILE development methodologies
  • Demonstrable service industry knowledge - ideally with focus on food service industry
  • Experience managing teams; remote management

  • Proficiency in English language. Preferential working knowledge of other European languages (French, German, Spanish, etc.)
