SC cleared Interaction (UX) Designer - GDS

A major central government organisation is seeking a SC cleared Interaction Designer to join them on an initial 6 month contract, inside IR35.

Hybrid-working - 1 day in the office every 4 weeks.

Candidates must have an active SC clearance, used within the last 12 months, and unexpired.

Experience required:

• Previous experience of interaction design work within a government or health setting using gov.uk/NHS design patterns and systems
• Experience with working with constraints and ability to identify, challenge, and adhere to them.
• Knowledge of best practices in interaction design, and the ability to embed them into an agile workflow to deliver timely outputs.
• Good time management and the ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to use prototyping techniques and methods and can show the value of prototyping to relevant teams
• Adept at providing simple, clear visuals to communicate complex issues
• Confident communicator: able to persuade; negotiate; influence; network; and work with stakeholders
• Ability to get to the heart of an issue quickly and clearly
• Knowledge of agile ways of working and user-centred content design
• Experience in using metrics and user feedback to iterate design solutions
• Experience in choosing the best format for displaying information to the us
