JOB DESCRIPTION

This individual will be responsible for leading and executing the process development strategy for preclinical and clinical scale candidates in development. The Upstream Process Development Scientist will develop scalable and robust manufacturing processes to support manufacture of AAV based gene therapy products.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• PhD or MS with some industry experience
• Expertise in upstream processing from cell expansion through vector production using both adherent and suspension-adapted mammalian cells. Experience with single-use bioreactors at multiple scales is highly desired
• Experience executing standard viral vector characterization assays (e.g. cell-based assays, qPCR, HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE) is beneficial
