An expanding and highly successful family owned business are looking to recruit a senior buyer. Due to growth in the UK and internationally they now require a senior buyer. With office across France, Germany and the US and headquarters in Kent, they employee circa 150 staff.
The ideal candidates will come from a purchasing background in the manufacturing industry or components. You will also have previous experience buying from a variety of counties including, India, Europe and the Far East.
- Take accountability for ensuring our suppliers and our supplier processes are efficient, sustainable and profitable, implementing improvements where necessary.
- Work closely with the Product and Operations teams to ensure our supply chain planning, purchasing and logistics processes are efficient and profitable, implementing improvement where necessary.
The role is a truly cross-functional role and will require excellent relationship management and negotiation skills.
Your responsibilities will include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching alternatives and taking stock of current products & suppliers.
