An Investigo partner and software house in Derby are looking to double the development team in size, growing from 6 to 12 over the next few months. We have two of these roles that would suit current Senior/Lead Developers and Engineers with skills across spanning across .Net full-stack development and ideally will have been or are looking to make the step up to technically lead a smaller team of devs. The next 3 years have an exciting product evolution roadmap, from greenfield developments, changes, and enhancements to the existing platform, all utilising a modern, cloud-based (Azure) technology stack.

You'll get to play a key role in the evolution and continuing modernisation of several platforms, applications, and business/customer critical systems, this will involve everything from minor enhancements to full-scale application rebuilds to better leverage the tech for customers and make what they do even more accessible to customers. As the team doubles in size, this role will step into a Senior/Lead Developer who will still be majority hands-on but be the focal point in technically leading and guiding the team. Their business is a highly technical environment, you'll report to the Head of Development (who takes care of the non-tech management) and they even still get involved when they can - this is a business who are passionate about high quality software development. You'll also have the opportunity to try new ways of working, tech and develop your own personal career through various professional training and development plans.

The technology is driven by Azure and powered by a modern blend of .Net (inc. .Net Core), C#, MVC, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Docker, Kubernetes. Their way of working is Agile, utilising a Scrum delivery model, and with a quality first mindset they use a TDD approach.

So, what are we looking for?

• Hands-on technical experience using modern .Net technology but also good software development fundamentals;
• Technical experience using the above or a combination of the above technologies;
• Recent experience working with cloud-based solutions;
• Experience working in an Agile environment;
• A willingness to try something and make it work, someone who brings new ideas to the table.

Any experience leading a small team and developing large scale, greenfield applications would be hugely beneficial, as would an understanding of CI/CD and DevOps.
