Senior Finance Manager

Purpose and Mission

This position is responsible for oversight of IFRS statutory accounting of multiple markets and legal entities, coordination of financial reporting and compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements, evaluation of control environments and financial risk analysis, and process enhancements. The position is responsible for overseeing the accounting activities necessary to produce accurate and timely financial statements and related analysis in order to support internal and external financial reporting requirements. The position is expected to monitor tax & treasury operations and working capital optimisation.

This is an excellent role for a Finance Manager who is looking for a step up. The Senior Finance Director is happy to train on various elements of the role. You must have statutory accounting and prep of accounts experience as a minimum requirement.

Summary Of Key Responsibilities

  • Management, Tax & Statutory Reporting:
    • Works collaboratively across the organisation to communicate accounting guidance and ensure accounting and internal control requirements are addressed appropriately to ensure the integrity of the financial statements
    • Support to develop efficient tax strategy across organisation
    • Manage transfer pricing operation and ensure integrity of all inter-company accounts

  • Accounting Operations:
    • Establishes and implements new accounting policies and processes to meet changing requirements and support new business
    • Drive continuous improvement against Key Performance
    • Evaluates processes and practices to ensure they are aligned with company goals and objectives; evaluates the design and effectiveness of accounting controls; and advocates for upstream and downstream changes to improve transparency, ownership of data and efficiency of
    • Work with finance teams to ensure effective & efficient
    • Monitor compliance with stakeholder Service Level
    • Collaborate ERP(SAP) implementation across group entities
  • Compliance & Control:
    • Maintain an effective system of internal financial
    • Ensure compliance with Minimum Control
    • Ensure adherence to IFRS, UK GAAP, GCG accounting policy and local statutory
  • Treasury and Banking:
    • Maintain oversight over all banking
    • Ensure timely completion of bank reconciliations
    • Drive working capital optimisation with improvements of visibility in payables and receivables
    • Manage cash flow to satisfy internal and external requirements
  • Demonstrates a clear commitment to the highest standards of professional and personal conduct.
  • Effectively influences at all levels of the organisation to identify and drive organisational priorities and
  • Leads cross functional teams to implement accounting solutions for new business
  • Identifies key risks and control weaknesses, provides solutions for improvement, and helps manage the implementation of appropriate systems
  • Advises senior management on accounting and financial impacts of new or proposed transactions, quantifies opportunities and risks, and recommends

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or other global ERP) preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate accounting results to both accounting and non-accounting customers at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to build relationships and influence others in order to achieve successful outcome in cross-functional projects and activities
  • Continuously challenges the status quo to drives process and technology improvements
  • Deals effectively with ambiguity, managing multiple priorities, and able to lead team through complex changes
  • Ability to apply IFRS and statutory accounting requirements to complex business transactions
  • Experience assessing financial risk and developing and implementing internal controls
  • Demonstrates leadership courage; ability to make independent difficult decisions, ability to have difficult conversations
  • Additional language is an advantage (Chinese/Japanese/Korean)
