The Role
As Senior Finance Manager - Group Reporting, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end statutory reporting cycle for this complex, multi-entity group. Your remit will span:
Financial Reporting Excellence
- Leading the preparation and delivery of consolidated Group accounts (full year and interim), ensuring IFRS compliance and best-in-class presentation
- Overseeing statutory reporting for multiple subsidiary entities, coordinating with local finance teams and ensuring adherence to both Group policies and local regulatory frameworks
- Managing consolidation processes and technical accounting treatments, working closely with the Technical Accounting team
- Supporting the implementation of transformational finance systems and ERP projects
Sustainability & ESG Leadership
- Championing non-financial reporting initiatives, particularly sustainability metrics, carbon emissions, and climate-related disclosures
- Implementing CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) requirements and IFRS S1/S2 sustainability standards
- Developing robust frameworks for ESG data collection, validation, and external assurance
- Ensuring full compliance with TCFD recommendations and UK regulatory obligations
Stakeholder Management
- Acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing audit cycles efficiently and professionally
- Collaborating with Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Legal teams to ensure seamless reporting
- Supporting Audit Committee reporting and preparing insightful papers for senior stakeholders
- Building strong relationships across the wider finance community
Team Development
- Leading and inspiring a small, talented team of finance professionals
- Providing coaching, mentorship, and creating opportunities for continuous development
- Fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Top 10 practice-qualified (ACA/CA) OR ACCA/CIMA qualified with substantial experience in a listed or large corporate environment
- Demonstrable experience in statutory reporting within a listed company, large Plc, or complex multi-national organisation
- Strong technical IFRS knowledge with the ability to apply practical judgement to complex accounting scenarios
- Experience managing statutory accounts for multiple entities and navigating diverse regulatory environments
- Track record of delivering accurate, high-quality financial reporting to tight deadlines
Key Attributes
- Technical excellence combined with commercial acumen and strategic thinking
- Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience developing and motivating teams
- Exceptional communication skills - able to translate complex technical matters for non-financial audiences
- Experience working within robust control frameworks (SOX or equivalent)
