Senior Java Developer

Title: Senior Java Developer
Location: City (3 days in office)
Rate: £750 per day (umbrella)
Start date: 1st September
Duration: 12-months

We are working exclusively with a major Financial Services business to provide a Senior Java Developer for a greenfield project. This project involves rearchitecting a trade capture system, transitioning logic from Murex to a newly developed Java environment.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Design and develop high-performance Java applications.
✅ Rearchitect the trade capture system, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
✅ Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
✅ Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

Requirements:
✅ Extensive experience with Java 11+.
✅ Proficiency in distributed cache technologies such as EhCache, Redis, or Hazelcast.
✅ Significant experience in parallel processing.
✅ Strong background in Financial Services, with a preference for candidates who have worked in a post-trade environment.
✅ Experience with Kafka.
✅ Familiarity with Murex is an advantage.
✅ Knowledge of post-trade systems, including trade processing and trade flow.
