Job description

Investigo are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a well-known Global organisation who are looking to recruit a Senior Management Accountant, on a permanent basis.


The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for the coordination of the divisional operational sales planning, financial reporting and budgeting requirements, offering advice and producing the Monthly Management Accounts for the a specific business unit.

Duties will include:

  • Preparation and monitoring of Monthly Management Accounts for the division, including Profit & Loss, Advertising Expenses Schedules, Sales Promotions, Business Development, Overheads and Provisions statements.
  • Be a Business Partner to the Senior Management team.
  • Take responsibility for the consolidation of the business unit results.
  • Present financial results to Senior Management as and when required.
  • Supervise 2 Finance Analysts to ensure the results are produced on time and to an accurate manner
  • Preparation of Annual Budgets and Forecasts for the division with assistance from Finance Analysts
  • Produce monthly stock reconciliations and review stock provisions
  • Prepare the monthly P&L reporting to parent company
  • Maintain the Balance sheet Reconciliations, liaising with the respective individuals around provisions and liabilities on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare costing proposals for quarterly campaigns for all sales types, making recommendations through consideration of sales forecasts.
  • Maintain and update standard unit costing on the sales system which are used for stock valuation and gross margin reporting.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual external Audit process.
  • Conduct monthly expense review meetings with business managers ensuring that expenses are in line with the accounts and challenging expense commitments when required
  • Conduct a mid-month review meeting with the General Manager of Sales to highlight any potential issues before the month end results
  • Attend divisional sales meetings on a regular basis
  • Audit quarterly bonuses.
  • Ensure the accuracy of Product Pricing, inputting and maintaining retail prices or additional charges on systems.
  • Provide cover for the FP&A Manager when required and assist Divisional Management in the interpretation of financial results if necessary.

The successful Candidate will be a Professionally Qualified individual who possesses excellent management accounting, and analytical experience. They will be an effective communicator who is comfortable challenging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Our Client is offering a Salary of £50,000 to £55,000 + Car + Benefits.
