Senior User Researcher - UX Researcher - GDS

A major central government department are seeking a Senior User Researcher to join them on an initial 3-month contract (12-month workstream). Presence once a week/every 2 weeks is required in Newcastle.

• Needs to be able to work independently to plan and carry out research (from preparation through to sharing of research outcomes), making use of the most appropriate research methods/tools to turn insights into recommendations
• Responsible for communicating with users and championing core research principles to team members
• Will test high level and specific aspects of a service, presenting the research findings to help gain consensus and take action based on research findings.

This a complex area of work, spanning 23 benefit lines hence the requirement for a senior position. Ideally, someone who has previously worked for a Government Department.
