An established business who have recently appointed a new CIO are seeking a contractor with a strong background in IT Service Transformation and Service Delivery, as well as Project Management capabilities and the ability to review, design and implement operating models on an initial 6 month contract basis. This role combines strategy, stakeholder management, project management with being able to get into the detail and work in a hands-on capacity if necessary.
Working closely with the CIO, it will be your responsibility o work closely with the current service delivery team (15-20 internal people), review current ways of working and identify opportunities for change, applying pragmatic approaches combined with good practice such as ITIL. The initial phase of the contract will focus on quick wins and putting in place quick improvements, then moving on to look more closely at the design of the service delivery function and processes, finally implementing changes.
Location and working Practices: Manchester + home working, occasional travel to Leeds
