Job description

I'm currently seeking a Finance Shared Services Lead to join our client on an exciting journey of transformation. This role will support the Group Financial Controller and Head of Finance Shared Services.

This is an interim position spanning 12-18 months with potential of extension or even transitioning into a permanent position. The role is be offered on an outside IR35 day rate of £550-£750pd or an equivalent Fixed term basis.

Based in Central Yorkshire on a hybrid basis - 2-3 days in the office.

Here's what you'll be up to:

* Working closely with various stakeholders to craft and implement a new operating model that enhances function performance and ensures timely, accurate results.
* Implementing robust controls across shared services areas - Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R).
* Streamlining processes to maximise efficiency and establishing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with stakeholders.
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the transformation process.
* Introducing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for sub-teams to monitor performance against SLAs.
* Assisting in the roll-out of new finance systems, including an ERP and PO system.

What we're looking for:

* Proven experience of setting up or improving processes within finance shared services centres.
* Chartered accountant credentials with a solid grasp of technical accounting.
* Extensive experience in managing transnational finance teams.
* Proficiency in Excel and previous experience with finance systems such as Oracle or Dynamics 365.
* Familiarity with defining and enforcing SLAs.
* Strong leadership qualities coupled with problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Adaptability to thrive in a busy, ever-changing environment.
