Job description
My client a leading IT consultancy is currently looking for a SharePoint Engineer / SharePoint Consultant to join their dedicated Professional Services team.
This role will be working on project delivery for scheduled work and tasks and will focus primarily on the delivery of their Cloud products and services into their Client environments.
Such Cloud products and services will ultimately derive from Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, and you will be very familiar with such products, associated products and features, and the Microsoft Cloud roadmap and feature set.
Essential Skills
Proven experience setting up Microsoft 365 Tenants, configuring Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, SharePoint Online, and all other Microsoft Managed Services
Strong knowledge and experience migrating workloads to public cloud platforms, Microsoft 365 & Azure
Proven track record, architecting SharePoint environments to a specification required by clients
Experience and understanding of completing SharePoint Online migrations
Expert level of knowledge working with SharePoint features including but not limited to document libraries, lists, content types, indexing, team sites, communication sites, branding, site designs, permissions, apps
Create global standards for SharePoint implementations
Comfortable with communicating global standards to peers, mentoring them during the implementation process and peer reviewing their work
Manage SharePoint services and sites hosted in SharePoint Online
Monitor and manage SharePoint system security to prevent attacks, data loss, etc.
Serve as the SharePoint Subject Matter Expert for internal and external clients. Providing consultancy when required
Keeping up to date of changes to the Microsoft Cloud product suite, functionality and best practices
Regularly update documentation of SharePoint infrastructure
Understanding of SharePoint's integration within the Microsoft 365 eco system
Ability to train users in their use of SharePoint online
Experience using SharePoint PowerShell modules to automate builds and configure sites
Experience of Power Apps and Power Automate
Outstanding organisational skills; including an exceptional client focus and capacity to manage relationships with tact and diplomacy
Clear and confident communicator, especially when working directly with clients
An 'out of the box' thinker, who considers the wider impact of deploying infrastructure and services to clients and support teams, and plans accordingly
Excellent documentation skills are essential
Desirable Skills/Qualifications
Experience in installing, configuring and supporting Windows technologies, such as Windows Server
(including RDS & DFS)/Active Directory (GPO/DNS)/Exchange (including DAG)
Virtualisation platforms - Strong understanding of and experience with VMware
Microsoft Certification are advantageous - MCP, MCSA, MCSE, O365 & Azure exams * Networking skills
Understanding of Financial Industry standard applications (e.g. Bloomberg/Tradar)
Key Role Requirements

Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints
