Location: Nottingham, hybrid working; the successful candidate should expect to spend 1-2 days per week in the office

Investigo have partnered with a software house in Nottingham who plan to execute on growth plans over the next three years. This opportunity is for a Software Delivery Lead to join their organisation and lead small but skilled team with everything from a new to market product alongside an already successful SaaS platform, new features, and a whole host of exciting but complex projects. You'll work closely with the Software Delivery Manager to lead cross functional teams to deliver real value for their customers.
Leading a team made up of software engineer you'll play a key role in a host of tech critical projects, including the ongoing development and enhancement of an already successful SaaS platform, building in new features and exploring new technologies. You'll work with senior stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) in the business and externally to delivery first class software using your team's full capabilities. This role will also play a defining part in the strategic technical roadmap for the business and act as a technical advisor for the senior leadership team as well as embed yourself within the software engineering capability across the business.
So, what are we looking for? There's a number of desirables but the key components to being successful are:
- A background in leading and managing technology teams/projects; we don't need a hands-on development background but technical experience (whether as a Developer, QA, BA, etc) is critical to the success of this role
- Technical know-how and a thorough understanding of software delivery and Agile
- Experienced leading cross functional teams and delivering SaaS solutions for a range of customers
- A real people leader who can galvanise the existing team and previous experience of scaling teams
Any notable technical experience would be hugely beneficial, as would an understanding and experience of DevOps and automation.
