Location: Nottingham, hybrid working with the ideal candidate spending a couple of days a week on site in Nottingham

Investigo are partnered with a software house in Nottingham who plan to execute on growth plans in 2021-22. This opportunity is for a Software Delivery Manager to join their organisation and lead a group of software delivery teams who are working across three key B2B products. This is a critical hire and will lead circa 40 heads and take on everything from growing the team to revamping and modernising a core set of applications, this role has it all.

Leading teams made up of developers and testers you'll play a pivotal role in a host of tech critical projects, including two new software applications and modernising an older application into newer cloud-based platform. You'll work with senior stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) in the business and externally to delivery first class software using your team's full capabilities. This role will also play a defining part in the strategic technical roadmap for the business and act as a technical advisor for the senior technology leadership team.

This opportunity gives the unique chance to make a real step up in the coming years, ideally heading up the entire software/digital function.

So, what are we looking for? There are several desirables but the key components to being successful are:

• A background in leading and managing development/engineering teams for software delivery/development projects
• Experience leading multi-location teams and contributing to the longer-term tech vision
• Technical know-how and a thorough understanding of software, cloud (ideally Azure) and Agile
• Previous (or even current) hands-on experience, ideally Microsoft stack

Any notable experience developing large scale, greenfield applications would be hugely beneficial, as would an understanding of DevOps.
