Systems Administrator - Unified Communications - Remote

My client is looking for a highly motivated Systems Administrator to manage their Unified Communications solution(s) while leading the migration efforts from various, disparate legacy systems to MS Teams for Enterprise telephony, messaging and conferencing. This position will require ongoing collaboration with a change management resource to coordinate and implement a mature conversion process which includes a blueprint of all pre- and post-migration steps needed to deliver a successful end-user consumption of the new service as well as working with governance and training resources to ensure the newly implemented services can be securely and efficiently supported by all levels of the IT organisation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant industry-specific certifications
  • 5+ years in an IT role with relevant experience
  • Experience working with Telecom providers and leading number porting processes
  • MS Office 365 administration experience; particularly Teams, Skype, and Exchange
  • Azure AD fundamentals; identity management/risk-based MFA
  • Advanced network troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent (English) communication skills with extraordinary attention to detail
  • Working knowledge and experience working with applications such as Lucidchart, Microsoft Visio or similar

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform project lead for migrating existing telephony and video conference solutions to MS Teams
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving performance issues for Unified Communications systems
  • Responsible for UC-related enterprise management platforms to provide provisioning of devices, segmentation of administration, inventory management, and expense reporting
  • Responsible for ensuring performance SLA's are achieved
  • Responsible for creation of technical documentation as well as reference architecture diagrams for population within our CMDB
  • Collaborate with IT Business Analyst resources to ensure both technical and end-user documentation are up to date
