Systems Accountant

My client are looking to recruit a systems accountant for their growing business. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this role will be the go to for system work for the entire group, with both existing divisions as well as on new acquisitions.

Job Purpose

As a key member of the Group Finance team the role will be the key support for the finance systems in the Group ensuring the effective and efficient processing of financial data to support business decisions. Systems include:

• ERP - Evision / Dynamics Business Central / Sun Microsystems / Peach Tree / Sage 50
• EPM - OneStream
• S2P - iValua
• Business analytics - Microsoft Power BI / Jet Reports / Cognos
• Cash reporting - Board
• Tax related systems - OneSource
• Balance sheet reconciliation software - to be determined
• Others including WebExpenses, Oanda

Key Responsibilities

• Provide finance system administration and technical support to the finance, operational and commercial teams
• Work with technical teams to provide functional input into integrations to and from systems listed above
• Provide systems administration to integration tools between finance and non-financial systems
• Contribute to the design, development and improvement of processes and procedures that will allow for sound system performance
• Work to eliminate all financial offline information
• Work with Data team to ensure standardisation of data across systems
• Test internal processes and procedures and once confirmed to be documented
• Ensure system (and across systems) permissions are in line with delegated authorities and approval limits and ensure the segregation of duties
• To instil a culture of robust control and efficiency throughout the business
• Support project teams to implement new, and update existing systems
• Any ad hoc requirements

• Qualified accountant
• Experience of working in multi-currency, international Group headquarters environment
• Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, conscientious, well organised and with great attention to detail.
• System experience for the systems listed above
• Experience of working on Systems projects including data migration, integration of systems, data structure and architecture
• Strong interpersonal skills able to manage conflict and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders
• Proficient in Microsoft suite of products: Power BI, Excel, Visual Basics, Visio, Power Point
