The primary focus of the Tax Manager role is to provide strategic leadership in navigating the dynamic tax landscape, spearheading UK tax initiatives, managing complex tax matters, and fostering robust relationships with stakeholders. This includes ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations and implementing efficient tax strategies within the UK group and reporting cluster.

Main Duties of the Role:

As the Tax Manager, you will oversee the UK's tax compliance program, handling tasks such as the preparation and review of monthly VAT, quarterly IPT returns, and annual corporation tax returns for all UK companies, including SPVs. Your responsibilities extend to collaborating with external advisers and HMRC, addressing HMRC enquiries, and making certain that all tax-related payments are timely. You'll also manage tax-related accounting entries, work on Pillar 2 requirements, provide tax technical support, and contribute to various Finance Transformation initiatives.

Key Skills and Attributes Required:

To excel in this role, you should bring tax function leadership experience in a multinational company, forward-thinking tax expertise, and proficiency in UK indirect tax regulations. Your skills should encompass making tax digital compliance, complex tax calculations, and advisory roles, with familiarity in tax systems such as Alphatax. Additionally, expertise in securitisation and leasing, knowledge of IFRS standards, adaptability, self-motivation, and strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial. Your ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage projects effectively, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, will be essential for success in this role.
