A well-known, innovative organisation headquartered in Cambridge is looking for a Tax Manager to oversee all aspects of corporate tax management, governance, and planning across a growing international footprint.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role offers a unique blend of hands-on compliance, strategic advisory, and cross-functional influence - especially suited to someone with a passion for continuous improvement, project delivery, and building strong internal relationships.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the delivery of end-to-end tax compliance, including UK corporation tax & other international filings
- Supporting the Finance Director in defining and delivering a clear, risk-aware tax roadmap
- Managing multiple tax projects across VAT, global sales tax, withholding tax and transfer pricing with internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting global reporting requirements including tax provisioning under IFRS
- Representing the business in all tax audits, inquiries and reviews with authorities
- Partnering with non-finance teams, including commercial and development departments, to identify opportunities and ensure tax efficiency across business activity
- Driving the creation of efficient, well-controlled tax processes and policies
- Overseeing transfer pricing and documentation across global entities
About You
You're a qualified tax professional with the experience and energy to lead complex workstreams in a collaborative, project-focused environment. You will bring:
- A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or CTA) with significant post-qual experience in tax
- Strong knowledge across VAT, PAYE, corporate tax and transfer pricing
- Experience working across international tax regimes and cross-border compliance
- Proven ability to interpret technical tax rules and translate them into actionable advice
- A continuous improvement mindset with experience streamlining processes or implementing new tools
- Excellent communication skills - you're just as comfortable presenting risk options to senior stakeholders as you are reviewing returns
- Experience managing advisors or internal colleagues across multiple projects
