My client is looking for a Technical Delivery Manager.

PLEASE NOT THIS IS A 12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT

The Technical Delivery Manager will provide the hands-on management of IT Technical deliverables to support my client's Strategy.

You will support the Change function that enables my client to achieve its corporate and operational objectives. Responsible for delivering IT workstreams and projects, managing issues, risks and dependencies ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget. Support the programme of change through effective communication and coordination at all levels of the organisation.

Functional/ Technical Skills

Skill/ Experience

Minimum A level or equivalent

Project management certification (MSP, Prince 2, Scrum, Lean)

A strong background in Project Management, creating Project Initiation Documents (PIDs), detailing the required activities, timescales, effort, and resources assigned.

Involvement with Project Implementation Review (PIR) meetings with relevant stakeholders

Must have a Software Delivery background (and able to understand the full SDLC)

Agile delivery experience, with some SaaS technology experience

External client facing experience, Scrum Master experience

Experience of working with third party vendors, business stakeholders and technical teams.

Ability to use project management software.

Business Analysis experience

Some experience of:

o Software engineering

o Data

o Infrastructure

o Architecture

Manage project progress to defined budget and timescales up to implementation.

Co-ordinate multiple projects and teams

Balance conflicting priorities

Key Responsibilities:

Producing a delivery plan detailing the required activities, timescales, effort, and resources assigned ensuring the project has sufficient skills to complete the project.

Identifying, tracking, and reporting any delivery issues and risks, tracking costs, updating the delivery plan as necessary in line with any changes

To facilitate scope evaluation and breakdown of the user stories in line with their agile methodology

Hands on management of IT Technical deliverables to support the Strategy.

Lead from a technical experience on infrastructure or software development deliverables, contributing to technical solutions.

To facilitate the daily project stand-ups to ensure the project team discuss all elements of the project to ensure greater understanding which will drive/facilitate better delivery outcomes.

To keep the IT Leadership Team up to date on progress and decisions made within the delivery function. This is to ensure the Head of Solution Delivery is up to date with the delivery challenges when communicating to other senior managers.

To ensure IT Deliverables transition into the Test phase on time and on budget and to the required scope and quality

To adopt and champion the Agile Project Management processes to support and grow the Delivery Business Unit.

Work closely with project sponsors, Operations and Change together with key stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood.

Manage cross-functional teams across IT.

Manage projects from initial feasibility.

Management of project artefacts and budgets

Adhere to Company Risk Management policy and procedures, including reporting of incidents or breaches.
