Technical Project Manager - IBM Mainframe

Inside IR35 Contract - £600/day

Fully Remote / Working from home

Duration 6 Months+

Our client, a leading General Insurance organisation has a requirement for a Contract IT Project Manager with IBM Mainframe experience.

As Project Manager you would ideally have IBM mainframe experience covering these 5 components: Zos, CICS, IMS, MQ, DB2. The workstream will be conducting upgrades to the mainframes and will be completed using these components.

The chosen candidate needs to be able to manage suppliers (customer background). Suppliers include IBM, Vodafone and Wiplon.

The client needs a highly motivated, assertive and persuasive individual that can focus on delivery. Be able to navigate obstacles, escalate issues, be reassured by the governance, be a strong character, technically sound.

Role Requirements:

- Oversee weekend upgrades of mainframe components: ZOS, IMS, CICS, DB2, MQ.

- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s)

- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored

- Work closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective implementation of project(s)

- Prepare/maintain project budgets

- Manage commercial engagements, analyse variances and initiate corrective actions

- Submit project status reports and complete all other required governance submissions/controls
