Role Title: Technology Sourcing Lead

Contract Duration:
3 Months (Potentially 6 Months)

Summary Description of Role:
The Technology Sourcing shall be responsible for supporting the Technology Category Leads to maximise the clients third party technology spend across multiple initiatives - with responsibility for the end to end sourcing process.

Scope:
The Technology Sourcing Lead shall be responsible for sourcing, stakeholder management, supplier relationship management and helping to establish guided buying channels enabling users to quickly and efficiently order from preferred suppliers.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Support the relevant Category Lead to deliver agreed targets
  • Execute preferred supplier lists, sourcing strategies, manage risk, drive innovation and manage suppliers
  • Partner and develop effective relationships with stakeholders - translating business priorities into sourcing initiatives that deliver agreed outcomes
  • Support the sourcing processes across all business units to ensure best value for the client
  • Deliver measurable savings against agreed targets
  • Work in collaboration with the extended team to drive function wide objectives
  • In conjunction with legal, ensure sourcing contracts protect the clients' interests and drive robust risk strategies whilst promoting sustainability and diversity
  • Conduct tactical sourcing projects (including vendor screening) via approved channels and facilitates storage of associated contracts as per agreed processes

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

  • 2-3+ years relevant experience
  • Articulate with strong communication, and people skills
  • Experience of both virtual and physical global teams
  • Ability to lead by influence rather than authority when necessary
  • Problem solving and project management skills
  • Evidence of managing supplier relationships and negotiating third party agreements
  • Solid experience of managing the end to end sourcing process
  • Natural curiosity Knowledge of technology trends, market and suppliers
  • Natural ability to interact positively with all internal stakeholders across cultures, countries, and professional disciplines
  • Able to maintain impartiality and drive business outcomes in accordance with agreed timescales
