Job: Test Lead (D365)

Location: Twice/week in office in Barnsley ; Hybrid (Non-Negotiable) ; Please don't apply if you are unable to do this.

Salary: Up to £60,000 (DOE)

The Test Leader will play a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation and regular maintenance of our client's Europe systems estate, overseeing testing processes and managing multiple stakeholders. The Lead will establish and ensure best practices for application and integration testing. The lead will also train and mentor other team members, both permanent and contract resources, and serve as a technical resource to others for troubleshooting, problem resolution and system governance.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead testing efforts for the Dynamics F&O, infor CPQ and the integrated systems, ensuring comprehensive testing coverage from start to finish.
• Remains abreast of continuing changes in assigned solutions, and the tools and technologies related to it and used in the environment.
• Creating technical solutions to improve test process efficiency and validate the quality and performance of a range of technologies.
• Understand the testing effort by analysing the requirements of a development project.
• Estimate and obtain management support for the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing.
• Ensure that all prerequisites for testing, including data readiness and system configuration, are meticulously executed.
• Assess the current QA process and identify areas of improvement where best practices like automation, Risk based testing, reporting, Pattern analysis etc. can be adopted to increase the efficiency of delivery.
• Collaborate with all stakeholders including external suppliers and end users to provide high quality, secure services to the business.
• Establish quality engineering process and practices and educate stakeholders in the benefits to ensure adoption of quality gates.
• Gain a deep understanding of integration testing between Dynamics F&O, Infor CPQ, Customer Engagement (CE) and other integrated systems via Boomi.
• Work in partnership with the broader EU IT Team in a technical lead role, providing application subject matter expertise to support solution design, development, and implementation.
• Engage and work closely with the Project Integrate team; functional & technical consultants and SMEs.
• Lead the successful implementation of patches and releases to ensure the ongoing maintenance, security and development of applications.
• Partner closely across business stakeholders to understand the business processes that the applications underpin.
• Provide documentation, training and mentoring for testers including contract resource where required.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of processes and procedures to improve security and support continuous service improvement.
• Work with the development teams to automate testing wherever possible.
• Any other duties as required which are commensurate with the post.

Experience we're looking for:

• D365 FO experience is critical
• Leading a complex, multi-business, multi-stakeholder, multi-system environment.
• Well versed with strategies to ensure that testing of the implementation has the right coverage and test assets can be reused to support Evergreen update
• Broad experience of IT project delivery across a range of disciplines, including but not limited to core IT projects, business applications and development projects and business process change projects.
• Broad awareness of IT industry and security best practises
• Experience of working with external suppliers and partners
