VMware Architect - GCP Migration Specialist - £700PD - (Inside IR35) - Hybrid

As a VMware Architect specializing in migrations to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you will play a critical role in designing, planning, and executing complex migration projects. You will work closely with the end client to understand their business requirements, develop migration strategies, and ensure seamless transitions from on-premises VMware environments to GCP. This role demands a deep understanding of VMware and GCP technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect migration strategies for moving VMware workloads to Google Cloud Platform.
  • Assess existing VMware environments and develop comprehensive migration plans.
  • Collaborate with the end client to understand their business needs and technical requirements.
  • Implement migration solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to project operations.
  • Optimize and fine-tune migrated environments for performance and scalability.
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the migration process.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud computing and VMware technologies.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience as a VMware Architect with a focus on migrations to GCP.
  • Strong understanding of VMware vSphere, vCenter, and other related technologies.
  • Proven track record of successfully completing large-scale cloud migration projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services and architecture.
  • Financial Services Experience.
