Job description

Investigo is thrilled to partner with one of the top advertising agency's in the medical communications industry to identify a top tier VP, Account Director to ensure effective strategic leadership for a Pharmaceutical client.

The VP-AD will manage and lead the account team to delivering the highest standard of work while building the client relationship, collaborating with internal teams, and identifying opportunities for new business with this client.

Critical to the success of the VP-AD role will be making decisions that are in the best short and long-term interest of the client and agency, delegating tasks amongst various aspects of the account, and proactively attacking needs that may arise. The VP-AD will need to provide direction that will lead their team to work autonomously, understand the needs of the client and the type of work that is expected for their brand, and liaise with internal teams including scientific, medical, finance, creative, BD, etc.

As a senior level account services position, some qualifications of the position include:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Business or related field preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in account services, with 5+ being in Pharmaceutical
  • 3+ years supervising junior level employees
  • Possession of interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead C-level clients, motivate and inspire creatives, and help with the strategic vision of the clients
  • Experience in a variety of therapeutic areas
  • Launch experience to consumer audiences is strongly preferred
  • Experience in a variety of therapeutic areas
