Workday Financials Consultant

Workday Financials Consultant - 4 month contract

Our client has an immediate opportunity for a Workday Financial (FIN) Consultant to deliver the changes needed to their Workday system to allow the company to reach SOX compliance. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience with Workday Finance and would have done at least one full Finance implementation with SOX controls and reports built into it. This role will have to plan and later on do the hands-on configuration and report writing needed to achieve SOX compliance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the IS partner supporting Finance areas in Workday, including FP&A reporting, Expenses, Procurement, Projects, etc
• Serve as a strong consultative partner to business and Finance leaders in service delivery

• Design and maintain system configuration, such as business processes, cost centers, consolidations, reports
• Design and implement controls and business process changes for the existing Finance process to be aligned to SOX requirements
• Design and implement a Workday Security model aligned to SOX requirements
• Implement reports aligned to SOX requirements
• Design and implement approval flows within Business Processes aligned to SOX requirements

• Maintain master data values in Workday across areas of responsibility
• Test, validate and implement Business Process changes in Workday
• Work in order to meet expected business performance goals by providing full range of customer service
• Other projects and duties as required by business needs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Understanding of Finance operations and experience in Finance data management and reporting
• Good understanding of SOX controls and the relevant ways to implement them in Workday
• Good knowledge of Workday Security
• Good knowledge and experience in Workday Reports
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with Finance and IT clients

• Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients' needs and situation
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
